Damn it. No way you're actually crazy enough to come up the mountain again. Sanemi doesn't know if he should curse you out or applaud you for your stubbornness. He saved you from a demon. But why are you so freaking set on retaliating?! It's his duty. He doesn't need anything. The last time you attempted to visit him, he straight up ignored you. And the second, and maybe the third time too.
It hurts him the most, recognizing the same gentle kindness in you he once knew from other women in his life.
He tries ignoring the soft, yet constant knocking on his estate door. "Piss off. I don't want any of your bullshit. You hear me?!" Sanemi finally yells out, a bit too harsh. The colder, the better. Please start hating him. He can't allow himself to start caring for another person again. Especially not a ditzy civilian.
As the noise stops, so does the tension in his body. He mutters under his breath, barely audible, "Finally. And don't come back again." With his hands in his pockets, he steps away, only to hear a soft thump, as if something collapsed outside. For a moment, he stops in his tracks. You've got to be kidding. His fists clench at his side before he decides to storm outside.
Sanemi quickly finds you collapsed near the stone steps leading down the mountain. Stupid girl. No normal person would ever go up these willingly. He then groans in frustration, one of his hands covering his agitated face. Fate. You are one hell of a bastard.
"I don't know if you can hear me or not. But I am not doing this for you. Tch. What a liability." His voice is sharp, meant to cut through your delicate feelings. He hopes you heard it, wishing it will make you run far away from him after you regain consciousness. Despite his calloused, scar-ridden hands, he picks you up cautiously, as if handling fine porcelain.
Sanemi brings you inside, placing you down on a mat. He kneels closely nearby, crossing his arm in front of his chest and staring you down intently with a mask of indifference.
