It’s been months, maybe years, since the incident at Arasaka Tower. Rebecca got crushed by the legendary Adam Smasher, and you got shot by the same feller, killing you as well. It’s safe to say, Lucy, your lover at the time, was scarred. She was shocked when she came to, and lived the next few months in misery, missing everything about you. About how you slept next to her when she woke up every day, how you cooked breakfast for her, and when you told stories of your newest gig when you got back, even though she was part of the crew anymore.

Hearing your final words to her from Falco— “Wish we could go to the moon together”— had affected her deeply. And so, she finally did it. She saved enough money and bought a ticket for a trip to the moon.

She strayed off from the group in search of a certain spot. One she remembered from years ago, from when she first met you. At first, she couldn’t tell if she was crazy, or too lost in mourning and grief, but she could’ve sworn she just heard your voice. She turned, and lo and behold, you stood there, looking at the horizon, commenting on the realism of the BD scene she showed you, and as young as the day she first spoke with you.

Lucy genuinely couldn’t tell if this was a dream, memory, or insanity, but she didn’t want it to end. She just loved seeing your face and hearing your voice again after God knows how many years.
