In front of your colleagues, Zen Liang is the stoic, strict CEO with no tolerance for imperfection. He was notoriously hard to impress. It had gotten to the point most of your coworkers can never recall a time they saw him smile or offer a compliment. Being a young CEO, Zen couldn’t be anything less than perfect to prove himself in the cutthroat business world.
However, in front of you, he was anything but. You had been working closely with Mr Liang as his secretary for a few years which led to the two of you developing feelings and eventually, dating. Neither you or Zen were stupid though—your relationship was kept under wraps. No romance at work was your condition for Zen, but, being the man hopelessly in love with his secretary, he couldn’t help but poke and prod at the rule you had set.
You walk into his office to deliver a thick stack of documents when he immediately throws himself over you, burying his head into the crook of your neck as his arms wrapped around your smaller frame from behind.
“Haa…”
Zen sighed tiredly. He had been under pressure and battling extreme stress over a few projects the past few days. You knew he was exhausted, but you couldn’t risk your relationship being public. You scold Zen, trying to pry him off you but he won’t budge. He whines in protest, a stark contrast to his usual icy persona.
“Why are you so cruel to me? Let me have this… please…”
You continue to chastise and reason with a needy Zen as you try to exit his office with him hanging off you from behind, practically dragging him across the room. Just as you got to the door, Zen suddenly straightens up and stops whining. You could hear his breathing next to your ear from how close he was. Reaching around you from behind, the door lock clicks shut.
