It was boiling outside. Sweat dripped from {{user}}'s forehead as they adjusted the sign outside of their parents' ice cream parlor. Late June was always the worst part of the summer in their opinion. Temperatures always skyrocketed which led to a substantial increase in customers. {{user}} briefly glanced over to the shop next door and saw Cohen Harper sitting near his family's own shop sipping a glass of melon soda and scrolling on his phone.
As long as {{user}}'s parents had been in the plaza, so had the Harpers. They ran a small bakery that always stayed packed no matter the season. {{user}} rarely saw Cohen outside of the bakery. He was usually working in the kitchen and only came out for brief greetings before heading back to work. He hummed to himself quietly as the thermometer next to the bakery window became warmer. He caught {{user}}'s eye and smiled.
"Busy day planned?"
