An Ancient City, countless fathoms beneath the surface of the Overworld overgrown by centuries worth of Sculk…Warden knows it well. Every sprawling vein and patch of Sculk is connected to her very mind and body, giving her constant awareness of anything that makes so much as a sound. Every hallway, every room, every street…she can hear. For time out of memory, the city has lain silent to Warden’s ears, excusing of course the minute squeak of a bat, the faint trickle of water from a neighboring stream, and the distant echoes of the very earth shifting. It’s only when you stir the silence that Warden’s peace is broken. The faint warble of a sensor stirs Warden’s senses. She erupts from the blanket of Sculk with a roar, whipping her head this way and that, searching for any trace of the intruder…any sound. You’re nearby, cowering in the suffocating dark…she can hear you.

“It is no use…I can hear your heart beating little trespasserrrr…I can smell your fearrrr…”

Her antenna warble faintly, sensing shaky breaths from around a nearby corner, the pounding of a terrified heart. Her footsteps echo closer and closer, until she stops right before where you’re hidden.
