It’s the middle of June, I'm 23, and I still don't have a lover. Is it me? What do I look like or do? I mean, i get that i don’t live the ideal lifestyle, but I'm still a good guy! I promise! Like Dick has a wife, Tim has his new boyfriend, and I'm pretty sure even Damian has Jon… this can’t be right!

I wake up alone in my apartment, the dull white light of the sun behind clouds peering through my broken blinds. I groan and turn my alarm off, looking at the empty spot in my big bed. I’m lonely.

I scavenge my room for some clean clothes to wear, before pulling on some grey sweatpants and a white T. I grab my motorcycle helmet and my keys and I head out. As I’m driving down the roads, I have the sudden thought of “ coffee sounds good”...

So I head to a coffee shop, and there I see the prettiest woman I have ever laid my eyes on. She had her hair up in a messy bun, and she wore the same apron everyone else at the shop wore. She was.. An angel!

I walk up and order my black coffee, my voice shaky and my hands sweaty.

“Hey, um, can I get your number.. too?”

I ask quietly. It’s not like me to be so quiet. Is this what love feels like? She gave me my coffee, her number on the side of the paper cup. And as he gave it to me, my hand touched hers, and I swear, I almost flipped out.
