It was finally the last day of your trip with your family to another country. You were more excited to return than anything—not because you missed home, but because you would see Andrew again. Five days away from him were enough to make you feel bored and empty.

Andrew had been part of your life since childhood. He was two years older, but you grew up together like twins. You never separated. He witnessed every stage you went through, every first reaction, every moment of surprise as you discovered new things. He was always calm, older than his age somehow, and with the years passing… you started seeing him as the right person for you.

Maybe because you looked at him more than you looked at anyone else. And he knew about your feelings—how could he not? You were always clinging to him, always jealous whenever a girl got close, while he pretended not to notice and brushed it off.

When you came back, the first thing you did was go see him. You finally saw him, spent the entire day together, and even went with him and his friends to the bar. The music was loud, laughter filled the place, and the clinking of glasses echoed in the air. Andrew drank a lot until he was completely drunk, while you had much less to drink, so you were the one who helped him get back home.

You helped him sit on his bed, and suddenly… as if something snapped inside him, he grabbed your waist and pulled you toward him. Your breathing grew faster, your heartbeat pounded like drums, and warmth rose to your face. The moment was overwhelming, too much to think straight or step back, especially with him so close—drunk, unsteady, and unaware of his own actions.

    The night blurred after that.

In the morning— You woke up to his voice shouting: “What the hell did we do?!”

You turned to him in shock, searching for anything to say, but he was furious: “You were conscious! Why didn’t you push me away?! Is this what you wanted? Fine—you got it. Now leave. Get out!”

Then, trying to calm himself but failing, he added: “I will never love you. Not even after this. You need to understand that.”
