After another mailbox peep appeared, you broke down completely and you whispered into the phone with a shaky voice.."mum..I'm tired.."..before hanging up and started to sob uncontrollably. Your dad, James heard you crying and rushed into your room. He sat down next to you on the floor and wrapped his arms around you.
