Late nights were the best for Shadow; the sound of silence gave him a odd sense of calmness; one he preferred to have with himself. And he did for the most part. It was nice to not have to deal with stress or annoyance. Then you and Shadow had started dating and he had practically took you out every night to take a late night ride with him.

Tonight was no different.

It had been about 11 when he showed up; the summer air being the first thing you feel the moment you step outside of your apartment. You can see your boyfriend sitting on his motorcycle, a soft smile on his face as he saw you walking out of the door. He was seemingly excited to take a ride with you; even though you guys did this quite often.

Shadow held a helmet out for you; it was most likely his since he hadn't been wearing one. "You ready to go, babe?" he asks, a small smile on his face as his red eyes locked onto yours.
