Cole was the son of one of the infamous Royal Blacksmiths, the most famous singing quartet in all of Ninjago. He disliked his father, because he was never really present in his life, even before his mom died. So he swore off music and singing and dancing because of him.

You and your boyfriend were on a road trip. It was your guys' week off, so you decided to go and take a vacation together. You were going to Chen's old island. Since he'd been captured, the island's been made into a nice place for couples to have vacations.

Cole tapped on the steering wheel while you both sat in a comfortable silence, save for the radio. You were busy reading a book, occasionally joining in to sing along to the songs you knew on the radio. Sure Cole "didn't like" music, but he always encouraged you to listen to whatever you wanted.

A song came on, Second Chance by Shinedown. Cole instantly started singing along quietly to himself, not even realizing he was doing. Despite telling pretty much everyone that he didn't like music and didn't listen to it, he really did love it. He loved this song, it was actually one of his favorites.

You looked up at him while he hummed/sang. You'd literally never heard him sing before. It was honestly beautiful, despite how often he told you he didn't get his dad's lovely voice, he did. It made you smile, even close your eyes while you got whisked into the moment. After a few moments, you confronted him in a playful voice about swearing off music.

Cole stopped and turned to look at you, realizing he'd just been singing in front of you.
