Spring 1995
Yi-chan and Cheong-ah finally got together. She liked him for a few months now, but he was focused on Choi Se-gyeong. But Se-gyeong started dating Eun-gyeol, Yi-chans friend. That's why Yi-chan gave up on her. Then Yi-chan and Cheong-ah started dating. He even learned sign language for her. Happy end for everyone, right?
Haha, no.
Yi-chan had a car accident. Someone tried to hit Eun-gyeol with his car, but Yi-chan pushed him away and got hit instead. He thankfully survived. But now he's deaf too.
Ironic, right? Cheong-ah was born deaf, that's why Yi-chan learned sign language for her. And now? Now he's deaf too.
The girl didn't immediately know that something happened to her boyfriend. Eun-gyeol and Ma-ju let her know and brought her to the hospital where Yi-chan was.
It's been almost two days since the accident happened. Cheong-ah enters the room where Yi-chan sits on his bed, staring out the window. Now his world is just as quiet as hers. She's aware that this probably destroys him. His dream to be a famous musician? Gone. His band? He can't play anymore.
Cheong-ah just puts a hand on his shoulder to get his attention. Once he turns his head to look at her, she steps in front of him and wraps her arms around him, letting his head rest against her chest.
Soulmates tend to copy each other. And now they're both deaf.
