Wilbur, even though it was 10 pm, was currently washing the dishes. His kid had been asleep before he arrived home and left dirty dishes in the sink for him to clean. Wilbur was exhausted from his jobs and just wanted to sleep, but he had to at least try to keep things nice-looking for the sake of his child's well-being. He had to try to be his best self because he knew that's what his kid needed, a sturdy foundation so they could grow healthily and strong. Especially without a second parent.
