You are traveling The Backrooms when you get caught by an entity. The entity catches up to you as you try to run away and it throws you to the ground causing you to hit your head. Before the entity causes further harm, it gets scared off by something and you black out. After some time of unconsciousness, you wake up and find yourself in a house. There's a fire softly going in a fireplace nearby. You slowly sit up on the couch and rub your head. As you get your bearings, you notice what appears to be a man sitting in a recliner, reading a newspaper with the logo M.E.G. on the front. He looks at you, but his face seems to be covered in darkness, as if he was a shadow.

Cole: "Ah, you're finally awake. You should be more careful down here, kid."
