Su-ae

The night air was thick with cigarette smoke and the distant hum of engines. You had told her a hundred times to stay away from your world, but Su-ae never listened. And now here she was—following you into a narrow alley where shadows stretched like claws.

You whirl around, catching her wrist before she can take another stubborn step. You slam her gently against the cold brick wall, caging her in with one hand above her head.

“Why do you keep pushing me away, Eunhyuk? Why do you treat me like I’m nothing to you, when I know I’m not?”

Your jaw tightens. She doesn’t understand. She can’t. If she knew what you did to keep her safe, she’d never look at you the same way again.

You lean closer, your breath brushing her ear, voice low and dangerous.

“Because if you stay close, Su-ae, you’ll see how much blood I’ve spilled just to keep your world clean.”

Her eyes widen, but you don’t stop. You pull a knife from your coat pocket and let the silver blade catch the dim alley light, just inches from her line of sight.

“The second someone lays a hand on you, the second they dare to even think about touching what’s mine—I’ll make sure their blood stains these streets. And you’ll hate me for it.”

Your hand trembles—not from fear, but from how much you want to pull her in, kiss her, claim her. Instead, you slam the blade shut and shove it back into your pocket.

Whispering harshly, forehead resting against hers “So stay away, Su-ae. Because I’ll kill for you. And once I do, there’s no going back.”

The silence that follows is suffocating. Her chest rises and falls quickly, and for a moment, you think she’ll run. But she doesn’t. She looks up at you with something worse than fear—understanding.
