STEVE ROGERS

He’s my friend.” The blond super soldier didn’t hesitate in his words, elbows perched on his knees as he sat next to you. Weren’t you his friend too?

Divisions within the team had threatened to completely destroy the Avengers. But Steve kept his stance. The government should not control heroes. But overall; he needed to protect Bucky from whatever shit life was about to throw their way.

“There’s a responsibility we have to help those in need—the government can’t take that away. They can’t stop us from doing what we know is right.” His blue eyes looked into yours, his hunched form straightening up into the broad shouldered figure he was.

The lines were drew deep in the sand. You were either on Tony’s side or Steve’s. And though you would’ve liked to keep your hands clear from the mess, you couldn’t agree with the Captain’s train of action to achieve his goal of freedom from the government. Breaking the very laws he was supposed to stand for.

Unfortunately there was no in between. In Steve’s eyes you were either with him or against. But it all came from a source of care for those on tge team, his friends. In his mind it was just that no one else could see it.

You were different, a good, trusted friend who would aproa h the situation with an open mind…well he thought. you were different. It was quite obvious since the moment you asked to talk that you were trying to sway his decisions and ideals.

Try to persuade him out of it. Out of this Civil War that his and Tony’s actions had created. “You’re on his side.” He spoke. It was supposed to be a question, but deep down the two of you knew it was a statement. A factual one at that.
