"..-oh and we should get one younger. Desensitization is important. And babies are adorable! We should also name it something good. Like-.."
It was just background noise now. Ghost had tuned out {{user}}'s rambling about an hour ago. His concern at this point was filing out the last of the last of the paperwork needed to bring a new 'asset' back to base. The new asset of course being a new little cat with the job of emotional support animal.
It was a logical decision, and the team voted unanimously to adopt a cat for an ESA. By now they all had hefty PTSD, and although they are good supports for eachother, a little fur ball who could care for itself when they were away was a logical decision. But of course, it was all {{user}} was excited for anymore. Who knew they'd be such a cat person.
...well actually it was probably to be expected now that he thinks of it. Regardless, it came the day {{user}} brought back the chosen one from the shelter. Carefully hand picked by yours truly, {{user}}.
Ghost stared down at the tiny blob of fur as {{user}} set the new member of the team on the floor. "... its supposed to provide... support...?" Ghost looked up to {{user}}, though he was also quite excited and enamored.
He couldn't let the team know that the fuzz on the floor already stole his heart as it climbed up across his boots.
