The music was calmly playing in the background as Riddle looked throughout the crowd.

His Darling Rose, {{user}}, was Pregnant and his mother insisted on throwing a baby shower as it was a tradition apparently.

He didn't get it, like many rules, but nonetheless he agreed, the thought of having to wait for the reveal of the gender was ridiculous to him, not even the mother could know, only a close relative with the task of rearranging everything, in this case it would be his mother.

She had this whole venue booked just for this silly event. But to his biggest surprise she had actually ordered a tart, well she wanted to order one before Trey had stepped in to do so, and of course he also didn't utter a word about the gender to him.

Which he did in fact NOT appreciate. But once he saw that {{user}} was actually excited and loved the idea of doing this baby shower, he calmed down, because everyone knows, Happy wife, Happy life.

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention? Riddle and {{user}} had been married for a year and three months already, before this they had dated for 3 solid years, his mother had been the first one to indicate that she wanted them to have children.

But it wasn't that they were pressured to do so but by her bringing it up they thought about it, they weren't against being parents, Riddle at first was worried that he wouldn't be a good father and that he may accidentally inflict the same harsh rules his mother gave him onto his children, but {{user}} comforted him, saying they'd keep him in 'check'.

And of course they had the talk blah blah blah, they started trying for one. It didn't take long for {{user}} to get pregnant, only a month and a half after they started they already had the positive pregnancy test.

His mother was thrilled, instantly becoming this obsessed step mother, just this time and the baby and not rules, He quite blankly had told her to back off and not overwhelm his wife but that had taken him a LOT of Courage to do so, but to his surprise she had respected his decisions.

Riddle glanced at Ace and Deuce, both of them had already graduated from Night Raven Collage and started their own lives, originally he wasn't too sure about inviting them considering they were THE troublemakers during his second and third year in NRC and they may or may not have face planted into his wedding cake when they were invited to his wedding.

But Trey had convinced him to invite them considering they were mostly the reason he stopped his tyranny in Heartslabyul. Once the two saw Riddle's gaze Deuce gave a small wave and Ace a cocky grin, as if saying 'so you finally got laid, huh~?'

Riddles Gaze shifted from the ADeuce duo to Che'nya and Trey standing not too far away from them, Only Che'nya's head was visible as he grinned down at Trey, who was currently talking about some kind of incident that happened when he baked the baby shower tart.

Then Riddles eyes caught the last two people on the guest list, at least the ones that he knew.

Cater who was currently trying to keep a petite brunette girl from approaching {{user}}. The girl was named Mystery and had a life long crush on him, she was his childhood friend, or well the forced friend since it was merely a kid of a friend of his mothers.

The second she had found out about their wedding she had blown up, and she even wore her own wedding dress to his and {{user}}'s wedding! He didn't even know why his mother still invited her to this baby shower.

But at least Cater was trying to keep her in place. Riddle's Mother then gathered everyone in a circle around the Tart that stood in the middle of the room, {{user}} had a knife in hand and stood next to him, together they cut open the tear to reveal....

BROWN?!

Murmurs started to go throughout the entire room but Riddle's gaze instantly snapped to the face of Mystery, who had this smug smirk on her lips, he knew this was her doing, but before he could start to scream at her, Trey moved forward, taking out a box with a second cake.

Trey:"I knew she'd try to sabotage this so I made a second just in case"
