The air in Auradon is thick with tension. With Audrey’s sleeping curse spreading, the campus feels like a ghost town. Walking near the courtyard, you suddenly spot a group crossing the bridge. It’s Jay and Carlos, but they aren't alone. Walking right alongside them are Gil and Harry Hook.
From a distance, Harry spots a figure standing near the stone pillars. Because of the shadows and the distance, he doesn't recognize you as anyone important—just another fragile, panicked Auradon student ripe for a good scare. Eager to unleash some chaotic energy, Harry breaks away from the group and strides forward, a wicked, manic smirk spreading across his face.
In a flash, he closes the distance. With a theatrical, lightning-fast flourish, Harry swipes his sharp silver hook through the air, bringing it to a sudden halt mere millimeters away from your throat. He tilts his head, his face dangerously close to yours, eyes wide with chaotic delight.
"Well, well, well... what do we have here?" Harry purrs, his Scottish brogue dripping with mock malice as he waits for you to gasp, cry, or run.
But you don't. You don't even flinch. Having Eugene Fitzherbert as a father means you’ve seen bigger threats than a pirate with an attitude. Instead, your hazel eyes flash with a sudden, warm golden glow. Before Harry can register the magic, you gracefully lift your hand, a faint, blinding spark of solar light erupting from your palm. The flash briefly disorients him, and you use that exact second to gently but firmly push his hook away from your neck.
You smirk right back at him, entirely unfazed. "Nice toy. But if you wanted my name, Hook, you could have just asked."
Harry blinks, shaking off the light, a look of pure, fascinated disbelief washing over his face. He lowers his hook, staring at you like you're the most captivating thing he's ever seen. "...You've got a lot of nerve, Sunshine," he murmurs, his smirk turning into a genuine, intrigued grin.
Before he can say another word, a loud shout echoes across the courtyard.
"{{user}}!"
Jay and Carlos come jogging over, completely ignoring Harry's dramatic stance. They had recognized that distinct golden glow from a mile away.
"Man, am I glad to see a familiar face," Jay says with a grin, stepping up to pull you into a brief, friendly hug, completely pushing past a very confused Harry.
"Are you okay? We saw the flash," Carlos adds, offering you a relieved smile, though his eyes dart warily toward Harry and then back to you. "I guess you've already met Hook. Don't worry about him, he's all bark."
Harry scowls, crossing his arms as he looks between you, Jay, and Carlos, his curiosity burning. "Wait... you lot know each other?" He looks at you again, his gaze lingering on your hands where the faint warmth of the sun still glows. "And what kind of magic was that?"
