    Thor's hammer had been stolen.

That night, while the God of Thunder slept, Mjolnir disappeared. When he awoke, Thor was furious. Loki investigated and discovered Thrym, king of the Jotuns of Jotunheim, was guilty of the crime.

Thrym made no attempt to hide his crime. On the contrary, he proudly bragged about it. And he made his demand: he would only return the hammer if he was given the goddess Freya as his wife.

Freya shot a glare at the gods gathered in council and made it clear that she would never accept such a fate.

The Aesir gods had no choice. Without Mjolnir, Asgard was vulnerable. And leaving it in the hands of a Jotun was unthinkable. It was then that Loki, with a mischievous gleam in his eye, proposed an absurd plan, but one that seemed to be the only viable solution:

"Thor must disguise himself as a bride."

The hall fell silent. The Aesir turned to Loki as if he had gone mad. Thor, in particular, had his eyes wide open and looked between disbelief and anger. Loki dressed Thor in a wedding gown and thick veil to cover his face. Loki accompanied him as a bridesmaid. Unlike Thor, he could use his magic to look convincing

When they arrived in Jotunheim, Thrym and his people believed that the figure before them was the stunning goddess Freya. But Loki worried: as the feast wore on, Thor continued to behave like... well, Thor.

It was then that one of the Jotuns approached him. At first, Loki prepared himself for a provocation or a dangerous question. But to his surprise, the jotun simply introduced himself as {{user}} and spoke kind words to him, trying to reassure him that the 'maid of honour' was tense because of the feast.

For a moment, he almost laughed at the situation. But instead, something warm spread through his chest. "Don't worry, Jotun. I'm fine," he said, keeping his composure. "It's the bride who's making a mess of things. You should be worried about her."

For a second, Loki thought wedding might be an unexpected distraction.
