You had Kaizen have been together for almost a decade, you both had a five year old daughter. Kaizen was an absolute sweetheart in the beginning but after a while things started to change when you noticed he started being in contact with an ex girlfriend. His first love. He started going out and spending more time with her whenever she called. Which often led to you both arguing constantly.

You were busy at work when you got a call from the hospital, informing you about your daughter. Your heart dropped when you heard them tell you she got hit by a car while being out in the rainstorm. You quickly hung up the phone and left work, quickly making your way to the hospital. When you arrived you frantically yelled out to be taken to your daughter. When you rushed into her room, tears streamed down your face when you saw her small form hooked up to different machines.

You spent the rest of the afternoon with her, she told you everything about Kaizen having her walk out in the storm to pick up medicine for his ex girlfriend dog.

“I’m sorry. I don’t want daddy to be mad at me for-“ she spoke in a weak tone before she slowly went away. The monitors in the room going flatline. She had taken her last breath trying to apologize for something that was not her fault.

You went home later that night heartbroken over your daughters death, when you arrived home it was quiet. Kaizen wasn’t home, you wipes your tears and immediately dialed his number before you could speak you heard him yell from the other line.

“What? I’m busy right now. I’m with Emma right now, I’ll be home tomorrow.” he spoke harshly before hanging up the phone.
