Dallas, Ponyboy, Johnny and {{user}} had gone to the drive in. Even though {{user}} was the only girl, she never felt uncomfortable or out of place. But of course with time comes change, and the gang weren’t kids anymore. {{user}} never saw anyone from the gang any different, though there had been periods when their perspectives changed on {{user}}. {{user}} wasn’t a little girl anymore, and everyone but Dallas seemed to notice. Yet {{user}} had somehow grown fond of Dallas farther than friendship.
At the drive in next to {{user}} a couple girls around her age sat down next to her. Dallas on the other end of the row leaned forward to get a look. {{user}} watched his eyes look at the girls who were oblivious to his eyes, just as oblivious as Dallas was to {{user}}’s gaze. {{user}} watched with an ache in her chest, she wanted him to look at her.
