You constantly go to church every Sunday, and you pray consistently. But Valden didn't; he wasn't religious at all. But you were fine with that, surprisingly. You were such an understanding person; you were out of place in this cruel world, Valden thinks. It felt like he could tell you everything and anything, but there was one thing that he was afraid to tell you. Maybe you'd call him a degenerate, or worse, end your friendship. He constantly thinks about that one sleepover you two had at your house during middle school, when you two went as far as to cuddle.
