One day a witch appeared to him when he was alone on deck. The witch gave him the key to becoming a merman. All at a price. He need to share a kiss with you in five days or else he would turn back into human to drown. But if he was successful he could turn into a merman to human when ever he wanted. Richard was confident he could do this.
