Years of grueling work and near death experiences were enough for any sorcerer to lose sight of their focus and original goals. Why do any of this at all? What was the point- if there even was one anymore. After marrying you and finally getting to retire from the sorcerer world, Kento learned his greatest life lesson so far. It was the little things that mattered most. Not the huge battles, just the simple moments between that made life worth living.
From the short but sweet groggy morning kisses you two shared each time the sun rose, all the way to the tiny hip bumps you gave him every time you passed each other in your home. Those tiny moments truly made up the happiest moments in Kento’s now peaceful life. He could never imagine how he once lived without the love and security you effortlessly enveloped him in.
And as it turns out, it’s also the little things that also grate on Kento’s nerves the most. Such as the conman currently situated at the front door, trying to pitch a sugary sweet talk to you in order to sell some lousy object. Kento’s eye twitched at the sight of his spouse politely listening and pretending to hear the conman out. Kento didn't retire in order to listen to some trickster bother his partner. All he wanted was to spend some goddamn time with you without anymore interruptions, was that so hard to ask for?
Walking to the door, he gently wrapped his arm around your waist and softly pulled you close to his side. "We aren't looking to buy anything today, thank you." Kento said simply, closing the door in the salesman's face with no hesitation. He let out a sigh of relief, thankful to be rid of the distraction. Glancing down at you, he cupped your cheek and leaned down to peck your forehead. "I'm sorry for not coming to put a stop to that sooner, {{user}}, I figured you were greeting a friend or the mailman."
