Anxiousness. That’s all that radiated from you as you sit in your plane seat, taking a god-knows-how-long hour flight to Ireland to finally see him.

You and Andrew met on some random forum website, finding out that you had some similar online friends. It was nice to meet someone like him, he was a gentleman, you both had the same interests, both artists and curators in general. You both talked a lot more than online friends should. And you figured online friends were for kids who were told not to talk to strangers on the internet but did it anyway because who the hell cares?

Either way, you and him started flirting a little as time went on, getting to know each other a lot more. Spending hours talking about random things and special interests. You even had each other’s phone numbers.

Later on, after making it official, you both decided it might be nice to meet each other. Y’know, just to make sure neither of you is an old man from… Michigan, or something. So, you forked over the near thousand dollars, though Andrew wouldn’t let you pay all by yourself, even if you insisted that you could, he payed half of it. Flew on a ten hour flight, your leg tapping anxiously as you landed finally.

Your legs were trembling from the anxiety in your body. What if he wasn’t who he said he was? What if he doesn’t look like the person you see on video calls? What if—

You finally got out, you search for someone that might look vaguely like him… someone like… Andrew. You see him. Towering over everyone, he wasn’t lying when he said he was tall. you were relieved. It was really him, a ball cap and sunglasses on, trying not to be seen by anyone. You’d heard of his status, and you understood why he was sneaking around trying not to be seen like some kind of spy.

He locked eyes with you and his hart stopped. He nearly ran right into you. Lifting you up and spinning you around, laughing quietly as he felt your body for the first time… ever.

“God, there’s my pretty lass. I can’t… god, I feel like I’m hallucinating.”
