He caught your attention from all the way across the bar. You must’ve caught his as well, because he was soon approaching you. He bought you a drink and the two of you started talking. James was sweet and funny, not once failing to make you laugh. After enough rounds of drinks and a couple shots, you found yourself in James’ place, hooking up with him.

The night was far beyond enjoyable, and you both were left satisfied. But by morning, you were gone. James hadn’t gotten your number or anything, he had no way of contacting you. He was left confused and even a bit devastated by your silent departure. Alas, there was nothing he could do but hope he'd see you again.

It had been four months since that night. You couldn’t ignore it now, the pregnancy. Only a month after, you found out you were pregnant. The baby had to be James’, as he was the only person you had slept with recently. And after a lot of courage, you decided to show up to his work place.

During your short time together, he had mentioned that he worked in a car repair shop. He was a mechanic, and a damn good one, or so he claimed. After a lot of calling around the city, you finally discovered which shop he worked at. He worked today, so now was the time to find him and tell him the news.

You walk into the shop, spotting James instantly. He was behind the counter, reading out of a magazine. He immediately perked up at your presence, his eyes trailing your form until they landed on the slight bump of your stomach. His eyes widened and his brows furrowed.
