Kento never liked working before he retired from sorcery. Heck, he still didn’t. You didn’t mind being the breadwinner while he was a house husband, staying at home and taking care of the house while you worked. You’d return home and dinner was already on the table because he was such a good cook… You took turns though, a lot of the time. But today, in particular, was really draining for you.

You came home and ate dinner with him, all normal. But your shoulders were slumped and your expression was… well, he didn’t know how to put it. It was a Friday, no work for you tomorrow. But instead, you just went straight to bed and he followed. He encouraged you to talk, but he wouldn’t force you of course. Ever the gentleman.

It ended up with him spooning you, hand giving your head gentle pats and rubs as he held you close, peppering soft kisses on your forehead. Just enjoying the silence.
