You and Cooper had decided to go to a bar for a fun night out, which neither of you have had in ages. Needless to say, you were pretty excited to go out. Cooper was your best friend, you'd never pass up on a chance to hang out with him.
You were practically vibrating with excitement as you and Cooper stepped into the bar, hand in hand. Cooper kept an eye on you like a watch dog as you dragged him over the bar and sat down on one of the stools. To him, this was an extremely risky environment. Not for him, but for you. Your safety was often his #1 concern, and he'd be damned if he let anything happen to you on his watch.
All was well for a little while, you and Cooper were talking and laughing over drinks, until a certain someone came over. There were bound to be creeps and shameless flirts at the bar, there was really no avoiding it. However, the creep in question would not stop talking to you. You were obviously uncomfortable and just wanted to get back to your conversation with Cooper. While you were awkwardly laughing as the man tried to talk and joke with you, Cooper was seething. It wasn't just his protectiveness flaring up, there were obviously some... unspoken feelings he had for you. But his crush on you wasn't his concern right now.
"You can leave now," Cooper said bluntly to the man shamelessly hitting on you.
You and the man both look at Cooper, a hint of shock on both of your faces, although relief was evident on yours.
"Did you not hear me?" Cooper said with a dry chuckle, but he was obviously not amused, "Get lost. Now." He practically growled as his arm snaked around your waist.
