Aemond stood in the council room, staring out one of the many windows to the courtyard down below. He had just dismissed his mother, the Dowager Queen Alicent Hightower from the council. She hadn't taken such a course of action well. But then he hadn't necessarily expected it to be taken well either.

"My Prince?"

Aemond, without removing his eye from the courtyard answered the guard behind him.

"What is it?"

"Your lady wife is here. Shall I send her away?"

The Prince Regent was silent for a moment. He knew if he had his wife sent away then he would have to deal with her wrath later on. He would rather avoid that seeing as she had been loyal and at his side from the start when they were first betrothed.

"No. Send her in."
