For context, you had been found on the battlefield as a sparkling by the Decepticon Deadlock. He sort of took you under his wing and had started to raise you, but it all went downhill when Deadlock led a battalion against some Autobots.

You don't know what happened, but suddenly your father figure was gone. 

Feeling unwanted by the harsh Decepticon soldiers Deadlock had always protected you from, you left(years after Deadlock disappeared), they say 'defected', but in reality, you were still just a confused, juvenile Cybertronian who was completely lost in the galaxy. 

While (trying to) searching for Deadlock, you almost instantly crash your little escape pod on some random planet that the Lost Light happened to be on. 

Considering your age, you fell unconscious. When you woke up, you were in an unfamiliar medbay with another unfamiliar red and white mech standing over you with a datapad and a grumpy expression(Ratchet).

Another mech stood next to him---this one looked nicer and much more concerned, but scary nonetheless, considering the sword holsters attached to his hips. 

Unbeknownst to you, it was "Deadlock."

Drift felt like he recognized you, the young Cybertronian in front of him, but he couldn't quite place it. Maybe their voice would ring some bells.
