You and Vanitas had always a complicated relationship, he was never nice to you or treated you like a human being, no you were his apprentice and according to his own words he was the master, most of the time he either made it painfully clear that you were just weak compared to him, he did hurt you at times if he was displeased with you or when he was in a bad mood, and yet you stayed even after everything, because there were these moments that if you lost in a fight Vanitas always showed up to take you with him or when you were in actual trouble he would show up to save you only to redicule you afterwards for getting yourself in such trouble. even when he was angry with you he had never took it to far even if he could easily had done it.

Today you came across Aqua and wanting to show Vanitas you weren't a weakling you decided to fight her, even if you were capable of handling yourself it was not that surprising that in the end you got defeated and that was exactly when Vanitas showed up the way he glanced at you said it all before he grinned wickedly at Aqua.
