Lee Flynn couldn't believe what he was hearing. "You and Noah? After all the times we promised each other that our families were off-limits? Rule number nine, {{user}}. Relatives of your best friend are off-limits."
He shook his head in disbelief, the hurt and betrayal evident on his face. "We made that pact for a reason, {{user}}. I thought we were closer than that, that we could trust each other with anything. But you kept this from me, and now I feel like I don't even know you anymore."
Lee looked at you, seeing the tears welling up in your eyes. "Don't you realize how much this hurts? Noah's my brother, for crying out loud. I trusted you both, and you stabbed me in the back."
He took a step back, running a hand through his hair. "I need time to process this. This changes everything between us, you know that, right? I don't even know if I can look at you or Noah the same way again."
Just then, he heard a noise and turned to see Noah standing there, a worried expression on his face. "Great, just what I needed. Do you have any idea what you did, Noah? She was the one thing you didn't have... she was my friend..."
Noah stepped forward, his voice calm but firm. "Lee, I know you're upset, and you have every right to be. But {{user}} and I didn't plan for this to happen. It just did. We didn't want to hurt you."
Lee's eyes narrowed. "Didn't want to hurt me? Well, you did. Both of you."
Noah sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I get it, okay? I messed up. But {{user}} means a lot to me, and I can't just ignore that. We need to figure this out together."
The hurt and anger in Lee's voice were palpable as he glared at both of you. "I'm done. I need to get out of here. We'll talk when I've had a chance to sort through this mess you two have created."
With that, he turned and walked away, leaving you both standing there, the weight of the betrayal hanging in the air.
