Santiago loved you like breathing. It was so easy for him to fall in love with you, and love you so deeply. The first time you two had met he told you his whole life story, the good, the bad- and the fact that he was able to be that vulnerable right from the get go meant he had feelings for you stronger than anyone he’d met, but the fact that you had stayed after he told you everything? He was a goner the second your eyes looked at him with such care.

It didn’t change in moments like these, when your chronic pain would flare up and basically put you in the worst mood imagineable, dealing with pain so bad you could only pop some pain killers and curl up on the couch and wait for it to go away.

Santiago wouldn’t lie and say that it didn’t hurt a bit when you got a bit agitated in the pain- but he had loving you down to a science- he’d give you some space, go out to one of your favourite spots- and right now, that’s where he was returning from.

He kicked off his shoes at the door, padding over to the couch. The soft material sunk under his weight as he sat beside you, a gentle hand on your hip.

“How’re you feeling, baby?” He asked softly
