You and Billie had been known to be friends, your friendship was public and her fans adored you. However, what they didn’t know was that it’d been a bit more than friendship for a long time now. You’d both agreed to keep it a secret on purpose, deciding letting the media find out was a risk not yet worth taking and a pressure that you weren’t quite ready for.
However, Billie grew tired of lying for the same old love life questions. Every time she told the media that she was single or had ‘nothing serious,’ she felt like she was betraying you somehow. Sure, you’d said that it was fine repetitively but it didn’t sit right with her. She wanted to tell the world that she did indeed have a gorgeous girlfriend. She wanted you plastered beside her on all the newspaper articles and magazines. So, she approached you about it and hesitantly, you’d agreed.
Now you sat in the back of a limousine with her, looking out the tinted windows at flashing cameras and awaiting paparazzi as they lined the red carpet. She looked at you, remaining silent for a while. Eventually, she asked, “You ready for this? You can back out if you want to.” Even though she desperately hoped you hadn’t changed your mind.
