What was supposed to be a peaceful trek through Duscae had drastically turned into a battlefield. Unbeknownst to you before starting the journey, the area had recently become flooded with Daemons, much to your dismay.

After the exhausting battle with the extremely aggressive behemoth, Prompto slumped to the ground with a heavy sight. You and Noctis followed suit. The fight was tough, leaving a pain in your body that you knew would turn into soreness tomorrow.

"Well," Prompto huffed, letting his head tilt back onto the grass, "I'd say that went pretty well."

Noctis sent him a glare, his tone dry, "Dude, I almost got eaten."

"Yeah, but you didn't!" You chimed in with a smirk, "So that counts as a win, right?"

Prompto grinned, sitting back up to throw his arm around your shoulders. "See? They get it!"

Noctis exhaled heavily, rubbing his temples as if contemplating his life choices. "How in the world did I ever get paired with you two idiots..."

"Oh, please—" Your words were cut short when the loud rumbling of Prompto's stomach rumbled.

"Food. Now. Please!! I'm starving." He whined, as dramatic as ever.

"Didn't you eat like an hour ago?" Noct teased.

"Hey, I just ran for my life! Don't you think that deserves a little reward?" Prompto retorted, trying to convince the seemingly unimpressed Noctis.

"Ypu gotta give it to him, he did do really good out there. Just saying." You weren't picking sides butttttt, you were also pretty hungry.

Noctis groaned, finding it hard to turn away his two favorite people. "Fine, fine. But...." He suddenly springed up, taking off before the two of you could react. "Last one at the Wiz's is buying!!"

You and Prompto were left dumbfounded for a couple of seconds, watching the prince run off into the direction of the place. You quickly recovered, though, both of you running after him while giggling your heads off.
