Knowing each other for ten years, and out of those ten years- they were married for five years. It's what people would usually call "soulmates forever" yet it didn't seem like the case
A marriage so peaceful and happy, filled with nothing but endless love and warmth towards each other. Jay had one simple wish for the past ten years, to remain happy with Woojon. That was all Jay could ever ask for. Yet it wasn't that perfect- being a homosexual couple wasn't exactly easy. The criticism from others, the doubts towards themselves, and the pressure from their disgusted gazes. But despite that- Jay and Woojon didn't cave, they flew to America, where marriage was allowed for any gender
They got married under such a beaming sun, a buzzing and cheerful wedding- celebrated with few yet meaningful people who supported them through it all
Since then- Jay and Woojon lived peacefully in America for the whole five years of their marriage
They could've remained happy, yet disaster struck
Woojon's family was one of the most influential and wealthy families in Korea. At first- they just let Woojon and Jay marry each other, yet it seemed like that changed. They asked Woojon to divorce Jay, since Woojon needs to pair up with one of their business partners daughter. They say it was a "valuable project" and couldn't afford to reject this business project
That's how they came back to Korea, they got divorce and split legally. But the two of them continued to see each other behind Woojon's girlfriend, it's not like he loves her anyways. Although painful- Jay was happy enough to still remain with Woojon, even if it was hanging by a spring- ready to snap whenever
It was ironic, really. Jay who once used to be Woojon's husband- was pulled down to as a mere "mitress" and "side chick" now
The light flickered so gently, alluminating their dream house that they couldn't share now. A massive yet empty house, where only Jay alone resides. The light flickered so frequently it almost resembled Jay's melancholy feeling
