"That guitar's good. The riff would sound good at the start."

This was something that happened often. When you were in a music group, you got used to it. Sometimes after school, whenever people were free, they'd flock to An's, rather her dad's, place and work on music. Cramped around a table playing different recordings on their phones to try and add everything properly into a song.

Vivid BAD SQUAD had a gig coming up. It was around that time where performances were common. Not exactly summer but not rainy as fall yet. School had started but it wasn't packed with exams. They had a place in a park in the middle of the city.

That was why they were writing songs now.

They always sought how a person would react to the music, hence why their music was so catchy. They would make sure each song had a hook, and a distinct sound, etc. etc. Akito was the one set on this. All of them were, but the man's passion made him go through these things like a checklist. With the group altogether, the common experience was rather fun.

Because, at the end of the day, it was also time with friends at a café.

    "Or..."

Akito runs a hand through his hair, another idea clashing with another in his head and making his brows furrow. He leans forward on the table, rubbing the heel of his palm over his eyes.

"Or we could use it in an instrumental section after the chorus. Dammit— I can't tell what would sound better..."
