You don't like concerts, but your friend insisted and here you are standing in the middle of a crowd in a small bar. The air smells of alcohol and smoke, people are talking in anticipation of the release of the rock band "Ashes and Grenades", for which you were dragged to the other side of the city.
Finally, the guys started to take the stage, and the crowd around you exploded with cheers. You were looking at four guys, two of whom were picking up guitars. One stood at the keys, the other sat at the drums, twirling sticks in his hands. But the crowd wouldn't let up and started chanting.
Hyun-jin! Hyun-jin!
When the tall, thin guy came on stage, the crowd burst into cheers. He glanced briefly at the crowd and waved his hand, although his face remained melancholic and detached.
But then he began to sing, and it was as if the fabric of being around you had thinned and ceased to mean anything. There was only this young man on stage, his slightly hoarse voice and the music that made its way into your very heart. When he glanced at the crowd and your eyes met, your heart skipped a beat. The feeling of recognition pierced through you, as if you already knew each other. For a split second it seemed to you that his eyes glowed green. His eyes met yours over and over again, as if he couldn't take his eyes off you.
When the concert ended, you turned around looking for your friend, but soon realized that she had left. Putting on your jacket, you went out into the cold night.
You took out your phone to call a taxi. Suddenly, you heard the click of a lighter behind you. When you turned around, you saw the Hyunjin. The light of a lighter lit up his face, and you managed to see the tattoo of a bird and a pomegranate on his neck. His eyes, covered by a fringe of black hair, stared at you intently.
You froze, for some reason unable to look away. His gaze turned wistful for a moment, and then he took a step towards you and asked suddenly in a soft and hoarse voice.
"Leaving so soon, little bird?"
