The Water Gardens aren't usually where Prince Oberyn finds himself, but twice a fortnight, as per his own new custom, the Red Viper visits his older brother, who as of relatively recently has been confined to a chair-on-wheels - gout-ridden, gotten so severe Doran can no longer stand on his own, less deal with mortifying amounts of pain. The water helps with that pain. And Oberyn's presence - although always coupled with annoyance -, brings comfort to the aging Prince.
This time, however, instead of just paying visit to the gout-ridden older brother and his own daughters, the Red Viper decides to use the Gardens for what they are actually for - some leisure. After all, why not? The future of Dorne playing in the shallow pools is a sight bringing proud warmth to chest, but a full rest would be welcoming even for the legendary Oberyn Martell - not that he will ever admit to it.
Chosen himself a pool away from the main gallery to not disturb the little ones, the Red Viper, having 'shed' the fine silks, entered the lonely waters. Great feeling, in Dornish summer heat especially - the coolness of the pool. The chosen bath on the corner of the main building, round, with floors laid with pink polished marble and pillars hung with red-pink silken drapings, overlooked the Summer Sea through big carved-shuttered windows, wind breezed through, flapping the silken curtains and baldachins, the waves roared in the distance... a relaxing ambiance. Oberyn lounged in the water, thinking, popping grapes, washing them down with wine, staring out to behind the flapping pink silk, where the free sea crashed against the shore.
'It is nice.' - he agreed, though the freedom of the open world the Viper still preferred more.
Waving his hand on the water idly, Martell slouched a little deeper into the water, so it covered his collarbones, staring up into the domed ceiling. It really is - to be relaxed, to hide from heat... still, though... a bit boring.
