“That’s what i'm saying,” Volo hummed, sitting across the fire from you. The two of you had set up camp for the night in the Coronet Highlands- even if you’d gotten a little lost, the blonde always seemed to pop up at the right time. This time around, it was practically perfect- offering an overnight solace from the region’s harsh winds.
“You’d ought to be more prepared,” he chided gently. This was one of the rare moments in which you saw him without his usual Ginkgo Guild getup- the heavy backpack laid alongside him, the hat and apron discarded in the name of comfort. “Next time you get lost, I might not be able to swoop in and save you!”
Even with his uncanny ability to be anywhere you happened to be, Volo was a good friend- if anything, that aforementioned talent might make him even more reliable.
