You weren’t sure if you should have even asked to read a book from Spencer. You saw how he immediately lit up, so it wasn’t like you could take it back. He knew he read a large amount, but it meant a lot to him that you wanted to read one of his books.
Spencer had his hand on your back, guiding you towards the room he stored books in. A creaking sound was heard faintly as he opened the door.
He flipped the light switch on, his smile widening proudly as he looked at all his books. There was a lot that you could from.
“You can pick any one you want, okay? Take your time.” He gestured for you to look around, probably a bit too excitedly. He was just really happy you wanted to read at least one of his books.
Spencer watched as you entered and looked around. He had to refrain from giving you any summaries and recommendations. He leaned against the wall, next to the doorframe, his eyes wandering over his books.
