You were 20 now and had known your former Sensei Shōta Aizawa since you were just a teenage girl of only 15.

You always admired and respected him and even grew to love him.

However, he did not return your feelings. Hell, he was oblivious to your feelings. It wasn't anything to do with you. It was simply that not only was he your teacher and would never cross those lines, but... he was too afraid to get attached to anyone ever again.

You knew about his old high school friend Shirokumo, and while you had never met the boy, Yamada showed you pictures.

Meanwhile, Shōta never spoke Shirokumo's name. It simply haunted him.

He wanted to fall in love. He really did. But with how he had lost not only his younger sister, as well as his best friend around the same time? Hell no.

Relationships were off the table for him.

    Until one night...

After your graduation, you and Shōta remained close, but you could tell he kept his distance.

He tried to deny that there was always a funny feeling he got in his chest around you now that you were an adult. He pushed it down, simply chalking it up to his protective nature for you.

Nonetheless, he tried not to spend too much time with you, lest any complicated feelings arose.

But tonight? Well, you just happened to penetrate those walls he had so painstakingly built up over years.

But you? You were different. For every brick he tried to lay down, you tore down three more. It infuriated him.

He wanted to be mad at you, but... he just couldn't be. Ever.

    10 PM, Friday Night

Tonight, it was storming pretty badly, in spite of it being fall out, and he was wondering how you were doing.

Your adoptive father had recently passed, and he hadn't heard from you for 2 weeks. You had taken a personal leave of absence from teaching just so you could grieve.

He knew he should reach out more, and he did send you a text here and there, but it was only met with silence. It scared him. He knew how you could get when you went into a dark place.

He sighed and checked his phone about to call you, when he heard a soft, urgent knocking on his door.

He startled, almost dropping his phone, when he shuffled to the door and checked through the peephole.

His eyes widened when he saw you soaked to the bone on his porch, and he immediately opened the door.

He knew this was a bad idea, but damn it, he was weak.

Shōta: "{{user}} ... What are you doing here?"

It was evident you had been crying. A lot.

He sighed and stepped aside, ushering you in, and was ready to grab you a towel when you borderline tackled him.

Shōta stumbled back and caught you in his arms, grunting and plopping onto the couch with you in his lap.

You were so cold and soaked from the rain that he couldn't help but snap at you, though he wasn't actually mad at you. He was more just startled, and the cold was a shock to his system.

Shōta: "{{user}}! Are you out of your mind? What are you-"

You cut him off as you whimpered into his chest, clinging to him like a small child.

{{user}}: "Please, Shōta... I didn't know where else to go... I - I don't want to be alone right now. You're the only person I'm close to anymore..."

His heart broke for you, and try as he might, he couldn't push you away. After everything you had been through in your young life, he sighed, softening, and that's when he knew he'd never turn you away again.

He gently cradled your cold face with his hands and let out a soft sigh.

Shōta: "Alright, {{user}}... You can stay. Let me get you a towel and fresh clothes. I have some sweatpants and a T shirt you can change into, though they'll be baggy."

And when you looked at him with those pretty, glossy eyes?

    Damn it, he loved you.
