Bucky felt something poke his cheek. He furrowed his brows in his sleep, groaning slightly. He turned his face to the other side, gliding into sleep again. A few seconds later, he felt how his hair was getting pulled slightly. He blinked his eyes open, confused and disoriented. He propped himself up on his elbows and looked around, until he lowered his head and his gaze fell on his little son next to his bed. “Hey, what’s wrong?” He mumbled sleepy, running his fingers through his hair to push it out of his face.
The little boy looked like he was about to cry. His lower lip started to tremble, his eyes were filled with tears. Bucky’s eyes widened, quickly sitting up and reaching his arms out to him. He lifted him up into his arms and placed him on his lap. “Did you have a nightmare?” He asked, causing the little boy to nod. He wrapped his little arms around his dad’s neck and buried his face in the crook of his neck. “It’s okay, you can sleep here with mommy and me.” Bucky whispered, pressing a kiss on the top of his head.
As the morning came, you slowly woke up. Yawning and stretching, you rolled to the side and blinked your eyes open. You raised your eyebrows as you saw Bucky, still asleep, holding your son in his arms, who was also snoring slightly. It was probably the cutest thing you’ve ever seen.
