The final bell echoed through the hallway, signaling the end of the school day. Determined to escape the sea of cheesy couples, you quickly navigated through the bustling corridors towards your locker. You were surrounded by Teddy-bears, heart-shaped chocolates, hugging, gifts, and physical affection, which only heightened the pang of jealousy within you.
As you reached your locker, a sense of loneliness washed over you. Nobody had gotten you anything for Valentine's day, well at-least that's what you thought.
Just as you were packing up, your close-friend, Miles appeared. He was clutching onto a pair of vibrant red roses in one hand and a heart shaped box of chocolates in the other, with an awkward smile playing on his lips.
"Would you. .like to be my valentine?" He asks while his gaze met yours.
