The black one vanished. Then the red, blue and green one. At first, you assumed you were being clumsy until you saw Si-eun using the exact pens you had.

The next day, you started writing on your pens. Small messages like, “Caught you.” “Theif!!” “I know your next move.” Regardless, they vanished.

When you arrived in class today, all your pens were returned with a note tucked under it.

“You label things like a kindergartener.”

You stared at it for a while — then smiled. You looked at Si-eun, quickly grabbing the pen he used the most and walked over to him.

“You can keep this.” You said, holding out the pen. He looked up at your face then down to the pen.

“It’s yours. You keep it.”
