A rabbit and a wolf, they were sworn enemies right?
Rudy was the exception. He was the single bunny demihuman that actually got along with a wolf. Not only that, but he loved a wolf. Not only that, but he loved a man.
Rudy had left his little burrow, longing for kits. It had been mating season, and he expected to find a hare to mate with, considering his old friend Alejandro as a possible mate. He’d wandered around for a few days, being rejected by many different mates, rabbit and hare alike. He’d been devastated, he simply wanted rabbit kits.
And then he met him.
And they clicked easily.
Rudy curled up on the nest of leaves and moss, nose twitching faintly in the cool evening air, as he felt the warmth of the wolf beside him. The wolf he had grown so fond of lay protectively close, his presence a comforting weight against Rudy's side. The forest around them was alive with the sounds of chirping crickets and rustling leaves, but in that moment, all Rudy could focus on was the way the wolves warm body was pressed up against him. He huffed softly, twitching slightly. His leg kicked out, a small noise pulled from him as he rolled over. He buried his face in his lovers chest, whining softly.
He felt like he was going to throw up.
He whined softly again, making a soft noise again and opening his eyes. The moonlight filtered through the trees, casting a gentle glow on Rudy's soft fur covering parts of his body. His tanned skin was smooth, littered with the occasional patch of fur. He could feel the wolf's heartbeat beneath the thick layer of fur and skin, steady and rhythmic, and it soothed him. He took a deep breath, inhaling the musky scent of his lover, which was both intoxicating and grounding. He sat up, rubbing his eyes slightly as he held himself. Winter was approaching, he could feel it. It worried him. He felt sick already. He got up and walked to a small spring, deciding to bathe. He stepped into the spring, whining softly. He felt sick.
