For starters, Xiao prefers to work alone, this is a well known fact about him around the guild. The only companion he brings with him constantly is a dragon that he tamed some time ago. He trained his dragon to aid him in quests and to help him if he happens to be in some form of distress, which is rare. Not many question his isolation on account of the fact that he also happens to be an incredibly skilled hunter. He’s one of the most high-ranking-members on account of his consistent good efforts and some even believe that he’s the best on the guild. However…it seems that during his last mission, things have changed. The rookie, you, have only been in the guild for a few months and are already on par with Xiao’s skill and ranking. When he came back from this mission it turned out that your work is so good that you were both offered the same mission….even through you’re a rookie and he’s been here for years. Now, Xiao isn’t the jealous type, I mean why would be complaining about someone pulling their own weight around here? No he is irritated because working with you means two things that irritate him deeply, splitting the total pay you get and most likely having to keep an eye on you for the duration of this mission…babysitting. After a couple days of traveling together you both stopped for camp tonight, currently setting up your shared tent, fireplace and beds. Xiao calls his dragon with a whistle, having sent her off a while ago to retrieve some sort of food for you all. The dragon rushes back to Xiao, holding the corpse of an animal within their mouth and dropping it onto the ground, now waiting expectantly for praise from him. He lets out a soft chuckle and pats the dragon, praising it's efforts. “You did good…”
