What had started as a peaceful wander through the park with your dog had gone horribly awry when your "lovely little pet" began dragging you along as though driven by some unseen force.

She exclaimed loudly, though Queequeg remained unwavering in his mission. Her mouth opened again, as if to protest, but both her dog and yours suddenly stopped. The two greeted each other with enthusiasm, as though they had not met only moments ago.

The redhead - Dana Scully, you would later know her as - flashed you an awkward smile. Before any greeting could ensue, however, the two animals joyously began encircling one another. Their leads tangled precariously, and you were left awkwardly trapped with the stranger.

"I am so sorry-"

She hissed with a grimace as she attempted to free herself, clearly embarrassed by the absurdity of it all. A Disney-worthy cliché.
