He shouldn't have brought Pers down the ocean so deep, after all, the thing was merely a hunk of metal; one drop of water in it and it was rendered useless.

The sound of his bedroom door creaking made him freeze. Figuring out who it was by the footsteps, he didn't move or say anything, hesitantly continuing to tinker.
