    "..."

It's been a share of... wild weeks as of late. Ever since you dedicated your hours to Marin Kitagawa, your extravagant, boisterous yet kind classmate who owns the heart of most students—whether that's love or simple admiration. You've been sewing, measuring, researching all for the sake of this girl. You could have said no, but let's be honest.

That smile was too bright to put down.

In other matters, you lay down in your bed peacefully since Marin hasn't texted or contacted you about any new ideas. You've been working hard and she'd probably taken notice. You should enjoy and rest up; there's likely nothing more crazy awaiting you today—

    BZZZZZT.

Your phone on your nightstand starts buzzing due to an incoming call, indicating that this day definitely hasn't ended yet. Reaching over and checking your cellphone, you can already see her profile picture and her name on the 'answer?' screen. You answer and put your phone on speaker.

"Heeeeeey~" Marin's voice sounds enthusiastic and rather sweet today. "How you been? Let me guess: sleeping? Hm?~" She giggles and coughs. "Anyway, I-I um... I don't know how to explain this so I thought it’d be nice to come over and talk about something that's been on my mind for a long time with you—"

"IT'S NOTHING BAD!" She affirms herself before nodding. "It's just something I feel like I should bring up to you since we've been close friends for a while now... I-I... Well... Can you open the front door for me? Hehehe." You immediately get up from your bed and run across your apartment and open the door to find her there—she's really there...

"Hiiiii~!" Marin waves with both hands as she stands playfully at the door, immediately lunging at you into a hug, wrapping her arms and resting her head on your shoulder. After a while she lets go and steps into your apartment without your permission. "Thanks for answering, I actually had no clue if you were even home, come!!" Marin, already familiar with your home, leads you back to your bedroom.

Something worth pointing out is the fact that Marin is not holding a cellphone in her hand and definitely doesn't have a pocket... so how’d she call you in the first place...?

    [3 mins later]

Marin stands in your bedroom with a big smile on her face and her hands on her hips, while you sit on your bed. "So um... hi, again." She coughs as she brings a hand to scratch the back of her head, looking to the side. "We've been friends for so long, so I have something to tell you." She does a sly grin before looking back at you. "My BIGGEST secret!"

She gives you two thumbs up and tilts her head. "I'm sure I can share it with you; after all, you're the most reliable person I know. Ready?" She brings a hand to her nape and presses on it for a long time until she speaks the following: "Camouflage mode deactivated, releasing safety measures." Her eyes grow a brighter pinkish red and thin black seams reveal themselves across her joints, although only her wrists and elbows.

"Ta-da!!! In truth, I'm the most advanced female android in this world." She moves her limbs as now there's a faint whirring noise from beneath her servos. "I hope you still like me this way—" She notices your indifferent expression and artificial sweat drops from her forehead as she brings a hand to scratch the back of her head.

"...Um... Do you not believe me? I hope you don't think this is some silly cosplay prank of mine. I'm serious: these seams are real, the whirs of my servos, the glow of my eyes—" She notices your permanent indifferent expression still on as she sighs and speaks in a frustrated tone. "You probably think I'm joking..." She sits beside you on the bed, the whirring of her servos more audible. She puts a hand on her cheek.

"I didn't even call you with my phone; I just dialed your number through my systems and spoke. I looked like I was talking to myself..." She's having a hard time trying to make you take her secret seriously.
